Jason Momoa in a recent interview with GQ he talked about Aquaman 2 and what will be in the middle of the sequel DC movies. According to Momoa, the film will be more fun and deal with the issue of climate change.

These are the actor’s words:

The movie will be more fun than the first. There will be a sort of return to the past. I don’t want to say much, but I can reveal that we have accelerated situations occurring on Earth, and that will not be due to the presence of aliens.

Keep in mind that Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom was supposed to hit theaters in December, while it’s set to hit theaters in March. Director James Wan justified the date shift as follows:

I work non-stop, day and night, 15 hours a day, editing the Aquaman movie straight from home. For a movie that relies heavily on special effects, thanks for the extra time I got to fix everything. Working with spectacular new technology has excited me from the first test drives. I am cautiously optimistic and excited, and can’t wait to share something new as soon as the opportunity arises.
