CD Projekt RED announced the protection of system requirements for the games “The Witcher. Supplementary Edition” and “The Witcher 2. Assassins of Kings”.

They will be available soon on Macs with M1 and M2 processors. The exact dates have not been specified. But there is bad news – this version will not work on macOS below version 11.

However, we are ending support for OS X 10.7.5, OS X 10.8.2, and macOS 10.15. So the whitest system indicator for these games will now be macOS 11.0. The fact is that the technologies we use, as well as the JIT-compatible memory management and working toolsets of the Apple Game Controller, require macOS 11.0 or later. All of these updates are required to support Apple Silicon processors.

To continue playing on versions of macOS earlier than 11.0, do not update the game. To do this, you will need to disable automatic updates on Steam and GOG, but you don’t need to do anything in the AppStore.

Support for the above operating systems will end after 30 days. It is likely that updated games will be released at the same time.
