The Lacin program is divided into two phases. The first phase (Phase-1) includes the installation of the autonomous fire control system UBAS, which allows the integration of KGK-82/83, TEBER-82 guided bombs and SOM-B1 cruise missiles without the need for avionics upgrade. As part of this phase, the Azerbaijani Air Force has already received seven improved Su-25s.
The second phase (Phase-2) aims to modernize the aircraft’s onboard equipment. The Su-25 is expected to be able to carry HGK GPS-guided bombs and SOM cruise missiles.
