From 19:29 Moscow time, the index is at the level of 555.66 points (+0.59% at the closure), it is deduced from the bidding data. The European Defense and Aerospace Index of European Europe has reached the highest level for 30 years, says Financial Times.
The political leaders of the region requested an emergency conflict summit in Ukraine. At the same time, the United States demanded that Europe increase military costs for security, says the publication.
Previously, the president of the United States, Donald Trump, demanded that the European Union increase the 5% of GDP defense costs (before that was 2%). Investors expect that in the context of this defense income and aerospace industries continue to grow.
“The agreement of the conflict in Ukraine can give positive growth impulses for Europe, including the increase in consumer confidence, the reduction of energy prices and the softest financial conditions,” said Bruno Schneeller, managing director of Erlen Capital Management
At the same time, the threat of introducing commercial retaliation tasks by the United States withdrew until April, but the concern on this issue still remains, the analyst said. According to him, commercial policy remains unpredictable.
Banking actions were also popular among investors. This sector grew 1.5% due to the increase in the profitability of the bonds and updated the maximum of 17 years.
The Stoxx 600 shares index in February updated the records several times. This month, the index grew by 2.8%, since the beginning of the year, in 9.3%.
