He was the one who created the world’s first iPhone to use USB-C instead of Lightning for charging. Now, the enthusiast has decided to do the same with the company’s wireless earbuds, the AirPods Pro.
He developed a replaceable USB-C circuit board that can be inserted into an undamaged chassis without milling. At the same time, the engineer posted a blueprint on GitHub that can be used to 3D print a spare box.
All you need to get yourself, though, is a spare battery, which can be found online for around $20.
Note that the AirPods Pro replacement PCB can be used by anyone, but only for a fee. It’s on sale for $38 at Pillonela’s online store.
