Last Sunday night (15) the first total lunar eclipse of the year took place. Visible all over Brazil, the phenomenon peaked at 01:11 this morning (16) and ended at 03:50.

The eclipse was also considered a “super blood moon”. This is because during an eclipse, the Moon is covered by Earth’s shadow, preventing the sun’s rays from reaching it directly. Receiving only a few strips of light passing through our planet’s atmosphere, the satellite acquires a reddish hue.

As always, many tried to watch the phenomenon in different parts of Brazil. Unfortunately, some states have uploaded clouds and blocked the eclipse view. This moment, of course, spawned countless memes on social media as well:
