Story Guardians of the Galaxy As far as we know, it all ended during the third installment of the film and the last one directed by James Gunn in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It was a great end to an important era, both for the characters and for the director/writer. However, at the end of the film, there was a sign: the adventures of the legendary Star-Lord (Peter Quill) will continue. Many fans were completely surprised.

Many assumed that we would not see any more of the franchise characters after James Gunn left, but it seems that Marvel Studios has other plans, especially for Peter Quill/Star-Lord. After all, this is one of the most important sub-franchises that Disney currently owns. Audiences really appreciate these characters, whose comical undertones appeal to the youngest fans and distance them a bit from the solemnity of other superheroes.

So, How will Peter Quill/Star-Lord return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe? There are several possibilities. In the coming years, when some projects are announced, the door will open for his return.

Peter Quill/Star-Lord will become an official member of the Avengers.

Back on Earth, away from his group of friends, Star-Lord could become a new official member of the Avengers. He could team up with Doctor Strange, Thor, Daredevil, Spider-Man, and the Fantastic Four to fight Victor Von Doom. Avengers: Judgment Day.

There’s no confirmation, but Disney and Marvel need to form a new group that will position new characters in the collective imagination, but also have the help of established superheroes. Peter Quill would be perfect to get that.

However, it could have appeared in a previous draft to provide context for the character’s current state on Earth and how he’s slowly getting closer to the superheroes he already knows.

Will We See Star-Lord on Disney+?

It’s entirely possible that the best way for Marvel and Disney to create a new story arc for Peter Quill/Star-Lord in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is to the middle of the series is character focused.

Peter Quill, starring Chris Prattwould be one of the most suitable characters to have his own series. His track record and character abilities would be perfect for the series. They could even adapt the story of how Star-Lord acquired alien superpowers. There is also a story in the comics where Matt Murdock (Daredevil) sues him for knowingly putting other people in danger, unlike other superheroes who, if they do harm to others, do so unintentionally.

Additionally, Peter Quill’s relationship in the comics with shiphis special ship, which is actually a living being, capable of feeling emotions and with which he has a psychic connection.

Likewise, some of the villains Peter Quill/Star-Lord has faced over the years may be shown through memories or a prequel to a character. Annihilus, Captain Gloria, or Darkhawk are some of them.

Either way, the return of Peter Quill/Star-Lord will be one of the most interesting moments in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, a franchise that has, incidentally, found new life thanks to the success of Deadpool and Wolverine in theaters and the announcement of Robert Downey Jr.’s return as Victor von Doom.
