The trio will perform some of the most important songs of their career, as a special guest of the event that will see Beatrice Grannò as godmother and parterre of unique and international guests, from actor Richard Gere, to director and screenwriter John Landis, to actress Stefania Sandrelli, to director and screenwriter Marco Tullio Giordana, to director and screenwriter Giovanni Veronesi, who will receive the Golden Column for Lifetime Achievement.

Their latest album “Il Volo Sings Morricone” (2021) is an overwhelming journey in the art of one of the greatest composers of the twentieth century, whose music Piero Barone, Ignazio Boschetto and Gianluca Ginoble worked for months, with the support of Andrea Morricone and the whole family. Il Volo is currently on a world tour that sees them as protagonists in the most prestigious European locations throughout the summer and from August in Japan, Canada and North America.
The Magna Graecia Film Festival will take place over eight days with screenings and meetings with national and international premieres, exceptional masterclasses, musical performances and many guests who will ideally embrace the entire city, from the sea to the historic center of the Calabrian capital. The competitions dedicated to the sections of Italian and international premieres and documentaries, curated by Silvia Bizio and Antonio Capellupo respectively, will present some of the most popular works of the season.
The Magna Graecia Film Festival also joins the network of sustainable and plastic-free festivals – to raise public awareness of the issue of protecting the environment, villages and beaches – by marrying the campaign promoted by Agis and Italy festival.
