The WarnerMedia-Discovery merger continues to make sacrifices, as Variety expects. First, there were locally produced shows that were canceled and their previous seasons removed from HBO Max. Then the news that Warner is canceling (both in theaters and streaming) Batgirl, spending $90 million on it. Currently, there are several movies that are disappearing from HBO Max.

And again, as in the case of the series, this has nothing to do with rights, but are direct victims of the company’s restructuring after the merger of WarnerMedia and Discovery.

Witches, Pickled in Time, Locked Up, Dreams of Mars, Overmind, Kings of Baltimore, all included in the HBO Max Original catalog, say goodbye to service. In the previous cleaning they were FUdi Love, No news D By H or By B a series that disappeared without notice to the service, although the film’s recall does not appear to have much to do with the series’ recall, as the latter’s cancellation was driven by the need to cut costs under HBO Nordic.

Harry Potter also says goodbye to HBO Max

It should also be borne in mind that some premieres are announced as home party, which was supposed to be released on July 28, also disappeared from the release schedule. And while it’s quite common for streaming platforms to add and remove content from month to month, they rarely do so with their original series and movies.

A few exceptions to this extreme are the removal of the Marvel and Netflix catalog being made available on Disney+. Removing Warner Bros. Movies from HBO Max could be part of the WBD’s cost-cutting move when it comes to payments for streaming rights, especially for underperforming releases.

In any case, the release of these films from the catalog will not be the only one saying goodbye to the Warner stamp. HBO Max has already announced that All eight original Harry Potter films will leave HBO Max at the end of August.. If you haven’t seen them yet, you can hurry up.
