In conversation with Variety the actor Brendan Fraser he was interested in getting back to work on The Mummy’s saga, for an eventual The Mummy 4. We remember that in connection with the saga, three films were released between 1998 and 2008.

Here are the actor’s words:

I have no idea how something like that would work — Fraser said of his return — but I’d be available to work on it if anyone came up with the right ideas. It’s not easy to create the right ingredients for that film. One element I didn’t see in Tom Cruise’s The Mummy was the fun, it was more pure horror. The mummy should be a thrilling ride, not scary and frightening.

With the failure of the Tom Cruise Mummy movie, Universal has also shelved the Dark Universe project. While the Brandon Fraser saga earned $403 million from its three films. The actor is currently promoting the feature film The Whale, which was screened at the 2022 Venice Film Festival, to critical acclaim and public praise, and left Fraser himself moved by the tribute.
