Corpo Libero is a thriller set in the world of female artistic gymnastics. It is the story of a sport made of lightness, jumps and flights, but also military training, strict rules and terrible sacrifices. Based on Ilaria Bernardini’s novel of the same name, Corpo libero centers on youth and risk, desire for growth and fear of change, as unbridled competition and stainless friendship alternate, physical and psychological violence, blood pacts, kisses and night escapes, drug resistance testing, and hallucinations. It is the story of the manufacture of a spectacular time bomb, the centrifugal force of adolescence compressed by the centrifugal force of competition, enclosed in a sparkling pink and silver body, and five feet high.
The series will premiere on Alice nella Città and on Paramount + from October 26, before airing for free on Rai 2 in 2023. It will be directed by Cosima Spender and Valerio Bonelli, with the cast of Antonia Truppo , Filippo Nigro , Alessia DeFalco.
