Square Enix has recently registered the new brand “Symbiogenesis” at the patent office in Japan. So far nothing strange, except that the term seems to fit the story of Parasite Eve. Symbiogenesis is basically considered as the fusion of two separate organisms leading to the formation of a single organism.

A process in which the story of Parasite Evawhich began with Hideaki Sena’s 1995 novel of the same name and was picked up by then-Squaresoft with the video game series debuting on the first PlayStation in 1998.

It’s not the first time we’re talking about a possible return of Parasite Eve. A few years ago, producer Yoshinori Kitase also reported that after Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Parasite Eve could be the next Square Enix game to be relaunched. In any case, there’s still no official news about a return of Parasite Eve to date, so as always, we suggest you be careful with what’s being reported pending updates from Square Enix.
