Handheld consoles are on trend and, in fact, we now find several offers for all types of players. Nintendo has its own and also several versions so that users can choose the one that suits them best, but now it seems that new competitors have entered the arena.
All alarms went off when Steam announced that it had a portable console in its hands and many months later, the Steam Deck has already passed through the hands of our colleagues at Hobby Consoles so that they can tell you firsthand about all the advantages and disadvantages of this mighty beast.
Of course, the market is developing rapidly, and it was not necessary to wait long for this console to have competition. AYANEO 2 has just been announced today, a portable device that looks directly at the Steam Deck. and intends to challenge her to a fight in which only one can win.
The novelty or rather the most important thing about this console is that it comes with an AMD processor inside. They opted for the Ryzen 7 6800U, which makes it similar in power to a laptop.. It may not seem like this will check Steam Deck, but the truth is that it is possible.
If we compare the technical data, we find that AYANEO 2 hits 3.38 TFLOPS while Steam Deck stays at 1.6 TFLOPS.. The screen that we will find in AYANEO 2 will be OLED with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels and although it seems small, the truth is that at the diagonal level it is more than enough as it provides good performance.
Another interesting fact is that the operating system with which it will hit the market will be Windows 11. so you will have access to all the benefits of this software. Storage data is not yet known, although it is expected to start with a good amount because if games need to be installed, they will be quite heavy.
It will have 16 GB of RAM, and the LPDDR5 version will make it quite fast when processing data. The Steam Deck will be hard to compete, although the price will be in its favor. AYANEO 2 is expected by the end of 2022 for about $1,400..
