Initially, this code was supposed to be used to access additional information about the training material. However, when users scanned this code, they were directed to a website with pornographic content.
After this fact was revealed, local authorities were notified and all textbooks with barcodes were immediately confiscated.
It turned out that the area previously referred to by the QR code belongs to the publisher who published the textbook. In March 2023, the domain lease expired and was taken over by a porn site. The local education office confirmed this information.
Note that this incident is reminiscent of events in Russia in September 2021, when a resident of the Moscow region found a link to a porn site in the school English textbook.
Then the Ministry of Education initiated an audit and the Prosveshchenie publishing house, which published the textbook, suspended its publication and distribution.
