Popova warned that there is a risk of cholera spreading all over the world, as many countries are unfortunately affected by this disease. Even the World Health Organization (WHO) had previously issued a warning about the worsening situation with cholera in the world.
The head of Rospotrebnadzor emphasized that any traveler, including tourists, can bring the infection to the country by air. Popova assured that Rospotrebnadzor has taken and continues to take all necessary measures to prevent the infection from entering Russia.
He also noted that there is sufficient stock for the locally produced cholera vaccine in the country.
