In Russia, they planned to introduce a program to subsidize the rental of housing for citizens under 35 years of age. However, there is one condition: saving money for a down payment on a mortgage to buy an apartment in a new building, Izvestia learned.
The Ministry of Construction is developing such a measure together with Dom.RF and Rosmolodezh. Details of the new program are expected to be made public in the coming months.
In addition, the program will help develop a civilized rental housing market in Russia, make it more transparent, suggested Alexander Andrianov, first vice president of GloraX.
- In January, the government decided to ease the conditions for obtaining preferential mortgages for IT workers. Employees of accredited companies between the ages of 18 and 50 are now eligible to receive it.
- In the summer of 2022, the Ministry of Digital Development proposed to change the terms of preferential mortgages for IT specialists and lower the rate from 5% to 3%. And in September, the main Russian banks reported a decline in demand for subsidized mortgages. Then the experts pointed out the excessive requirements for both borrowers and employers.
