Spacecraft expert Ilya Ovchinnikov said Russia is working on 3D-printed metal rocket engines.

The expert said that at the moment prototypes of such engines for spacecraft have already been created. Ovchinnikov noted that this area is very promising, but most of the projects carried out in different countries are “raw so far”.

Earlier it was known that the first 3D-printed engines were being tested in the UK. In March, the United States passed unsuccessful tests of the printed Terran 1 ultralight rocket.
