Total fines amounted to about 3.5 million rubles. Last year, the courts fined 2.15 million rubles and 1.3 million rubles for the first six months of 2023.

Roskomnadzor also reported that more than 70 cases of personal data leaks have been registered in Russia since the beginning of this year. These violations led to nearly 200 million entries about Russians entering the Web.

However, it is worth noting that in 2022 Roskomnadzor recorded more than 150 cases of large-scale data leaks in Russia. These breaches raise questions about the security and safety of citizens’ personal information.

The reason why Roskomnadzor continues to actively monitor and fine companies that violate personal data processing and protection rules is because the leak poses a serious threat to people’s privacy and security.
