Central Bank: trading on the Moscow Stock Exchange will open as usual on June 26

The statement of the Central Bank says that despite the non-working day in Moscow, financial institutions must continue to perform their key functions. The press service clarified that the heads of organizations must independently determine the circle of employees necessary for this.

“For the same reason, trading on the Moscow Stock Exchange on Monday 06/26/2023 is carried out according to the normal business day,” the Bank of Russia said.

The Central Bank itself also intends to carry out all its functions as usual on Monday. In addition, the SPB Exchange added that from June 26, the trading and settlement of securities for all groups of instruments will be carried out without changes.

On the morning of June 24, a regime of anti-terrorist operations was introduced in Moscow, the Moscow region and the Voronezh region to prevent “possible terrorist attacks”. Later, the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, declared June 26 a non-working day.
