The Greenbar company has signed an agreement with the Indonesian investment company PT Agung Anugrah Investama, which intends to create a large-scale network of vertical farms on the territory of the islands based on the solutions of the Chechen developer. The relevant cooperation agreement was signed by the financial director of Greenbar Ramzan Iripkhanov.
The company’s press service said that the production of digital city farm modules will be launched in Jakarta, which will then be installed in 15,000 supermarkets and shopping centers.
Greenbar city farms, a graduate of Skolkovo Foundation Sk Global Camp 2023 export accelerator, use Virtual Agronomist home software, which has no analogues in the world, using artificial intelligence.
The complex pre-programs the parameters for light control, mortar unit, humidity: temperature, lighting, nutrients in the soil, etc. The sensors measure the indicators and transmit the data to the server, where it is stored forever.
The system is also self-learning: it recognizes and corrects user mistakes and prevents other customers from repeating them. The closed module is also free of insects, which makes it possible to do without substrates. As a result, the system reduces the risks of crop loss and poor quality growth to 1%.
According to Anna Vititina, CEO of the developer company, Greenbar aims to turn Jakarta into a “garden and orchard”:
“A special innovative project is being developed for the Indonesian city. We plan to optimize urban spaces and fill empty niches for cultivation, build living farms along the walls, replace traditional landscaping with edible and commercially viable ones. It will be a new format, where each building is a plantation, and the whole city is a garden and an orchard”.
This approach will be able to provide the population and tourists with fresh products, reduce delivery time and reduce the amount of spoiled products. After all, the main problems of vegetation in Indonesia are logistics and weather.
Due to high humidity, 70% of vegetables, fruits and vegetables deteriorate during transport, hence the difficulties in growing cucumbers, tomatoes, berries, spices and medicinal herbs. Solutions like “Virtual Agronomist” are in demand in countries with similar problems: Korea, Vietnam, Singapore, Thailand, etc.
