This advice was given by Natalya Yurova, a chemistry specialist from the State University of Education. She explained that hot water can cause chemical reactions that cause the stains to penetrate further into the fabric.

Yurova recommends washing only in water not exceeding 30 degrees so that such stains are not swallowed. It also recommends not to wash with silk, wool, as well as metal threads and decorative items at high temperatures. The expert concluded that today there are many effective solutions for removing stains in cold water.
