The Singapore passport took first place in the ranking of the most powerful passports in the world. Its holders can visit 192 countries without a visa. The leader of the classification has changed for the first time in five years; previously it was Japan, but fell to third place.

For the first time in five years, the leader has changed in the ranking of the most powerful passports in the world. They became the passport of Singapore, according to the results of the passport index for the third quarter of this year from Henley & Partners.

A Singaporean passport holder can visit 192 countries without a visa or with a locally obtained visa.

In second place in the ranking are three countries at once: Italy, Spain and Germany. Their passports allow visa-free visits to 190 countries. The third place was taken by the former leader of the rating – Japan (189 countries). Share bronze with South Korea, Austria, Luxembourg, France, Finland and Sweden.

Russia was ranked 49th in the ranking with an indicator of 115 countries. Afghanistan is on the last line: passport holders of this country can visit 27 countries without a visa.
