The Russian government plans to support six research centers dedicated to artificial intelligence for the period from 2024 to 2026. This was expressed by Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko. The country currently has more than 40 scientific organizations engaged in research in this field, six of which are partnering with 26 industrial companies to develop advanced solutions in the field of artificial intelligence.

At the Army-2023 forum, Chernyshenko announced that he plans to carry out the second phase of the selection of six research centers in the field of artificial intelligence by the end of this year and to provide them with state support during this period. This will enable the state to provide financial support to 12 centers in the field of artificial intelligence. He stressed the importance of cooperation and worked on urgent tasks, including cooperation with the Ministry of Defense.

Chernyshenko also noted that the research centers are currently actively working on the development of various artificial intelligence solutions, such as medical diagnostics, cybersecurity, and complex equipment for oil and gas fields.
