In Russia, just over 63% of freelancers faced fines from the client. For a third of those surveyed, fines became the main reason for carrying out activities in this state and returning to contract work, Izvestia writes, citing Konsol.Pro.
Almost 25% of the self-employed regularly faced fines from the employer. Among the usual reasons for fines are poor performance of work, being late for work, damage to property or client’s manner, missing work days without good reason. At the same time, in half of the cases (54.6%), the fines were specified in the contract.
Almost all the freelancers faced unscrupulous clients who deprived them of all or part of their wages. Due to deception with customer payments, they lost up to 10, 20 and 40 thousand rubles.
Most of the self-employed, after the fines, began to look for work as an employee, the rest decided to change their field of activity or employer.
