The issue was first reported on Reddit, where users shared their surprise when they saw the unfamiliar camera footage.

Affected users accessed the feed through the Wyze web viewer at view.wyze.com. The company acknowledged the issue, saying the page was “under maintenance” and working on a solution. A Wyze support staff confirmed there was an issue with the live camera portal and said work was ongoing to resolve the issue. However, they could not give an approximate time frame to eliminate the problem.

Following this, Wyze spokesperson Dave Crosby released a statement explaining that this was a web caching issue and has been resolved. Crosby also stated that the issue affected approximately 10 users, but it is unclear whether this means that the 10 users had access to other posts or that the 10 users’ posts were visible to other users.
