By 2030, the volume of the IT market will more than double: it will reach 7 trillion rubles. The proportion of developers in various segments will increase from 50% to 90%. This is stated in a study by Strategy Partners, reviewed by Vedomosti.
According to analysts, over the past four years, the Russian IT market has grown on average more than twice as much as the global market: 12% annually versus 5% in dollar terms. The software and IT services sector developed faster than other segments: its average annual growth rate in 2019-2022 was 19.4%.
The head of the digital solutions department of the Polylog agency, Lyudmila Bogatyreva, believes that the growth of the local IT market may be hindered by changes in state policy in the sphere of stimulating the development of this area, budget cuts for the industry, labor shortages and rising costs, as well as the impossibility of continuing to use foreign components of development tools.
