Analysts from the Avito Services platform calculated that in August this year Russians were looking for iPhone repair specialists 33% more often than a year ago.
The data is based on 2 million queries from platform users. iPhone repairs accounted for about 9.3% of all requests for equipment repairs – the number of such requests has already exceeded 260,000.
The trend was confirmed in the YouDo service: in August, demand for the “iPhone repair” service increased by 26% compared to August 2022.
According to Avito, the demand for iPhone repair grew most in Moscow (by 65%) and St. Petersburg (by 64%). In general, growth is observed in many large cities, with the exception of Krasnodar – where demand remained at the same level.
At the same time, the demand for repairs of other smartphones decreased: by 22% less for Xiaomi, by 29% for Honor and by 7% for Samsung.
According to YouDo, the average cost of repairing a smartphone increased in August last year by 12.6% to 2,429 rubles. In just one year, the demand for repairs of electronic equipment of various categories in Russia increased by 37%. [Ведомости]
