The Moscow Stock Exchange announced the suspension of operations in the derivatives market, which were suspended as of 9:30 on Wednesday, September 13. This is stated in a publication on the site’s website.
The message from the exchange does not indicate the reasons for the suspension, however, the site’s press service explained to Interfax that the cause of the failure was the abnormal operation of the trading and clearing system of the derivatives market during the trading session of the morning.
The system is currently being diagnosed. The Moscow Stock Exchange promised to provide additional information on the resumption of operations.
Futures and options are traded in the derivatives market.
