Previously, this service was used primarily to pay for purchases in online stores and other Yandex services. Android device owners can now use the card payment option via NFC.

To pay, simply touch your smartphone to the payment terminal. Users of other smartphones can pay for purchases by scanning the QR code in the Yandex Pay application.

In addition, Yandex promises additional bonuses: 1% Plus points when paying online with a card of any Russian bank and up to 10% cashback on special promotions of partners.

Let us remind you that the Yandex Pay service was first available in March 2021 and is for online payments. However, with a new update, it becomes a full-fledged analogue of payment systems such as Google Pay and Mir Pay.
