Limited north-south routes and alternative route detours in the city have resulted in many vehicles converging on the same road. Cruise eventually solved the problem by directing all of its vehicles into autonomous mode.
The company has emphasized its commitment to safety and plans to expand operational design (ODD) to reduce vehicle concentration and improve service quality.
