Ozon and VK have developed an operating system for Hartens smart TVs, the VK press service reports.
In 2022, Ozon acquired the Hartens brand and announced the start of production of its own televisions for exclusive sale on the site. The Ozon TV shell will include its own application for Smart TV, the Marusya voice assistant, the RuStore application market and various VK services.
Ozon also announced the launch of its own application for shopping on Smart TV: Ozon TV.
The company hopes the service will become an “on-couch marketplace,” where users can choose products from personalized selections.
The order can be placed using a QR code, which will be displayed directly on the TV screen. After scanning it, the user will be able to go to the Ozon mobile app or website and place an order for the selected item.
Hartens TVs have been manufactured since 2021, during which time the brand ranked third in the TV category on the Ozon market and accounted for 5% of all online TV sales in Russia.
Late last month, Ozon started selling cars. At the initial stage, the order is only available in Moscow and the Moscow region, but in the future the market will expand the list of cities.
