The head of the Central Bank, Elvira Nabiullina, will prohibit employees from using iPhones, iPads and other Apple equipment for official purposes, sources told TASS and RIA Novosti.
According to the interlocutors of the agencies, the corresponding decree is contained in the order of Elvira Nabiullina. It is scheduled to come into force on December 25.
“As of December 25, the ban on the use and purchase of Apple equipment for commercial purposes will come into effect,” the source said.
Currently, employees of the Ministry of Digital Development are prohibited from using the American technology giant’s products for work purposes.
Apple technology was also abandoned by the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Rostec, Rosaviation and Russian Railways.
