The pre-release version of iOS 17.2 has a new feature that replicates the functionality of NameDrop.

It lets you quickly share boarding passes, movie tickets, and more from the Wallet app. To use this feature, open the Wallet app and tap on the card you want to share, hold your iPhone near the top of the other iPhone, and you can share it with the other user.

It is unclear whether the function works with discount cards. At the time of writing this note there was no such option.

iOS 17.2 is expected to become available next week.
