In 2020, when MagSafe appeared in iPhones, I was constantly looking for a suitable magnetic holder for my smartphone to stand on the table and be a treat to the eye.
I wanted this costume accessory to not look like a Chinese plastic misunderstanding: so that the magnets were reliable, so that it was not bulky, so that there were no additional places for the Apple Watch or AirPods and for charging my iPhone.
Once again, looking through simple domestic marketplaces, I saw a stand that suited all the parameters and ordered it without any high expectations. I was attracted by the price of only 1500 rubles instead of 4200, which is not a bad thing for an experiment. I thought this: if I don’t like it, I’ll give it to one of my tech geek friends for the New Year.
Of course, the production is Chinese, and the brand name is Favatex, something unknown. But I decided to take a risk.
The stand arrived, and now it’s my favorite thing, because I haven’t found the perfect MagSafe desktop holder for iPhone. There is only one drawback to this swap, which we will discuss below. The rest is a miracle, not an accessory.
Metal body, excellent magnet
The accessory does not take up much space in a complex state. Made well, nothing creaks, the hinges are quite tight.
The stand consists of a raised platform and a swivel bracket, which has a built-in magnetic charger. If desired, the stand can be raised and the angle adjusted, or you can completely lay it down and charge not only your iPhone, but also any other gadget with fast wireless charging.
The accessory is thin enough to fit into a pocket when difficult. But at the same time, when unfolded, it stands confidently on a flat surface, a magnetic holder for any iPhone, support up to the Pro Max model.
On the back there is a USB-C connector for connecting the charging unit. The kit includes only a cable, no plug itself. But it’s not a problem. I’m sure almost everyone already has a power supply with USB-C on their household.
The only negative mentioned above is this: charging power is limited to 7.5 W. It’s not particularly fast, but the point of this accessory is to keep your smartphone on during the workday, so super-fast charging isn’t really necessary.
Otherwise, I didn’t find any cons. For 1,500 rubles, this is the best thing you can buy for your desktop. I use it with pleasure and recommend it.
