Now ChatGPT responses to user requests will include, among other things, authorship of a particular material and links to full articles. Users around the world will receive summaries of global news content from Axel Springer’s media brands, the company explains.

The association aims to strengthen independent journalism in the era of artificial intelligence.

“We want to explore the possibilities of AI-powered journalism to take the quality, social impact and business model of journalism to a new level,” said Axel Springer CEO Matthias Döpfner.

OpenAI, as part of the partnership, will also support and develop the consortium’s projects using AI technologies.

Previously, Roskomnadzor recommended that hosting providers block the OpenAI search robot GPTBot from displaying pages to prevent the collection of information about vulnerabilities of critical resources.
