Scientists from the Institute of Nuclear Physics in Novosibirsk named it after him. GI Budkera plans to revive the long-disused technological storage complex (TNC). Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Pavel Logachev, director of the institute, said that this complex will be important in creating a domestic technology chain for the production of microelectronics.

TNK will be the main tool in the development of lithography technology – complex devices for printing microcircuits, which are currently produced by only one company in the world. Logachev noted that the institute created a similar facility in 1980-1990, but its launch did not take place due to the collapse of the Soviet Union. Now scientists will restore and put TNCs into operation within three years with a budget of about half a billion rubles.

Additionally, BINP began developing an accelerator for the domestic implanter used in the creation of microcircuits. Work on this device is being carried out jointly with the Research Institute of Precision Engineering in Zelenograd. Both technologies are considered key to the development of the domestic microelectronics industry.
