This is due to the expected 13-18% increase in the cost of DRAM contracts in the first quarter of 2024, with the largest price increases expected to occur in the mobile DRAM segment.

It is stated that the price increase is due to the demand uncertainty for the whole of 2024, and this situation forces manufacturers to reduce production in order to maintain the supply-demand balance in the memory industry.

In the PC DRAM market in particular, a 10-15% price increase is expected, especially for DDR5, while server DRAM prices may also increase by 10-15%, or even 8-13% in some cases.

Manufacturers are actively increasing consumer DRAM prices, resulting in increased demand and purchases. DDR4 prices are expected to increase by 10-15% ahead of DDR3, which will increase by 8-13%.
