Yandex Shop has launched a franchise program for dark stores in the cities where it operates. Large markets and some offline retailers had such projects, writes Kommersant.
The franchise’s first dark stores are planned to open in Novosibirsk, Rostov-on-Don, Krasnodar, Kazan, Yekaterinburg and Nizhny Novgorod.
The darkstore area should not be less than 250 square meters. m., investments to open one will be 2 million rubles, a lump sum contribution – 500 thousand rubles per year. Depending on the service, these investments can be recovered in a year and a half, while the turnover of one facility will be 10 to 15 million rubles per month and the amount of royalties will be up to 5% of the turnover.
Experts believe that delivery operators find it difficult to control the quality of goods and services provided by partner dark stores.
