  • Microsoft says the leak of the company’s executive accounts was caused by an attack by hackers from the Midnight Blizzard group, “sponsored by Russian authorities.”
  • S&P 500 shares rose to 4,839.81, hitting an all-time high for the first time since January 2022.
  • The trading volume on the foreign exchange market of the Moscow Stock Exchange at the end of 2023 reached 328 trillion rubles, 22% more than in 2022 and even 8 trillion more than in 2021 before sanctions.
  • Russia became the largest oil exporter to China in 2023, increasing supplies to 107 million tons, up 24%, and earning $60.6 billion, up 3.5% from 2022.

  • Representatives of Russian Railways announced the launch of a fully unmanned and import-substituting train in 2026, and in the summer of 2024 they will test a “partially unmanned train” at the MCC.
  • The US Department of Justice and the Federal Trade Commission have launched a preliminary antitrust investigation into the OpenAI-Microsoft partnership, which results in “less competition in the field of artificial intelligence.”
