The Russian plant of the Chinese automaker Great Wall (Havale Motor Manufacturing Rus LLC, HMMR) will recall more than 32 thousand Haval cars from Russia, Interfax reported. The reason was a possible fault in the electrical wiring, Rosstandart explained.
According to Rosstandart, there is a risk of moisture entering the wiring harness connector under the driver’s seat. And this, in turn, can lead to a short circuit and, as a result, melting of the connector.
This applies to Haval F7 and Haval F7x vehicles that were sold between December 1, 2022 and December 27, 2023. Total: 32,156 cars.
The company will send a letter or telephone to the owners of the copies that must be removed. You can check your car on the Rosstandart website or in the Auto.ru service.
On vehicles that will be recalled, the wiring harness connector will be modified to prevent moisture from entering. The owners will not have to pay for the work done.
