Vladimir Putin signed a federal law prohibiting the placement of advertising on the resources of foreign agents. The document was published on the legal information portal.

The law prohibits advertising about the resources of people and organizations recognized as foreign agents, as well as advertising the resources of foreign agents themselves.

For violating the law, individuals face a fine of up to 2.5 thousand rubles, individual entrepreneurs and company managers (up to 20 thousand rubles), small businesses (up to 250 thousand rubles) and medium and large companies ( up to 500 thousand rubles).

A bill prohibiting advertising by foreign agents was submitted to the State Duma on February 15. On February 28, the State Duma adopted the law, and on March 6, it was approved by the Federation Council.

On March 1, businessman and foreign agent Oleg Tinkov announced the closure of his charitable foundation due to the law on advertising with foreign agents.
