Interros supported the proposal to integrate Tinkoff and Rosbank into a single banking group. This was stated by the owner of Interros, Vladimir Potanin (who is the largest shareholder of Rosbank and TKS Holding). The businessman’s comment was published on the Interros Telegram channel.

“I believe that creating a unified structure in terms of its product line, ease of use, as well as value growth and financial stability is fully in the interests of customers, shareholders and the regulator,” Potanin said.
He also added that the integration of the banks will be carried out on the basis of a fair market valuation and that Tinkoff will be valued “at a premium appropriate to the market.”
Now all the parameters of the future banking group are being discussed, but the businessman assured that during the integration “all the best that there is in both Rosbank and Tinkoff Bank will be preserved.”
In particular, both banks will retain their licenses, brands, equipment and customer service standards.
- On March 14, Tinkoff issued a message saying that the bank’s board of directors would invite shareholders to consider integrating Rosbank into its structure. “MCPJSC TKS Holding plans to use the additional issuance of its shares as the main source of financing for the transaction.”
- Vladimir Potanin’s Interros acquired Rosbank and the group’s insurers of the French financial conglomerate Societe Generale in 2022. In the same year 2022, Interros became the owner of a 35% stake in TCS Group (shareholder of Tinkoff Bank), purchasing a part from the family trust of Oleg Tinkov’s family.
- Both banks were subject to Western sanctions: Rosbank came under US blocking restrictions in December 2022, Tinkoff in July 2023.
