Blinovskaya has been charged in the criminal case since spring 2023. She is accused of tax evasion. And at the beginning of 2024, the blogger was transferred from house arrest to a preventive detention center for violations of the chosen preventive measure.
At the same time, the Zamoskvoretsky Court in Moscow received materials in the framework of another criminal case.
According to Salnikova’s lawyer, in the final version Blinovskaya was presented with expanded charges. Following the interrogation of Blinovskaya’s wife on Monday, they will be informed that the investigative proceedings have been concluded.
“In connection with the expanded indictment, Elena stated that she would plead guilty only to tax evasion,” the lawyer said, adding that the Blinovsky case contains about 30 volumes.
In addition, investigators will ask the court to extend the preventive measure chosen by Blinovskaya in the form of detention. The detention period expires on April 26.
- Blinovskaya was detained in April 2023 while trying to leave the country. The investigation believes that she did not pay taxes worth more than 918 million rubles between 2019 and 2021. Law enforcement officials believe that the blogger resorted to a business division plan. Her husband Alexey was also charged with complicity in tax evasion and money laundering.
- Last summer, Moscow’s Presnensky Court imposed provisional measures on 50 Blinovskaya bank accounts and collectible gold coins. About 100 million rubles and 21 real estate assets were also seized. Blinovskaya managed to pay off a tax debt of about 55 million rubles.
