Starting March 30, most Armenian banks will stop providing services with Mir cards. The decision was made due to the risk of secondary sanctions. This was reported by RIA Novosti in the Armenian payment system ArCa.

The exception is the VTB subsidiary in the republic. Customers have access to cash withdrawals, online service payments and cross-border transfers. There are 53 bank branches in Armenia, 22 of which are located in Yerevan.
The operator of the Mir payment system is the National Payment Card System. In February, the United States imposed sanctions on the NSPK.
