On March 30, 2024, a decree came into force according to which it is possible to check into hotels in Russia using biometrics.
For this purpose, the authorities have developed a special service that will start operating in the second half of 2024. Upon check-in, the guest will be able to register independently using a tablet or self-service terminal.
It is noted that only a little will be required from the person (taking into account the fact that you have allowed the use of your biometrics when viewing the addition to the EBS), it will replace the passport – no additional information will be required. There are no other details yet.
