The official website of the Government of the Russian Federation reports that the order to increase the reserve fund by 1.6 billion rubles has already been signed.

The government reserve fund will increase by 1.6 billion rubles.

Finance will once again be aimed at "ensuring the stable development of the economy in the face of external restrictions," the press service reports.

At the beginning of 2022, funds from the reserve fund have already been allocated, for example, to support the IT industry and provide preferential loans to high-tech industrial companies that are actively operating in line with import substitution.

Additional funds will also be used to support national businesses, cover unforeseen expenses and events of federal importance that are not provided for in the law on the federal budget for the corresponding fiscal year.

The increase in the reserve fund was made possible by the unspent balances of the federal budget formed as of January 1, 2022.
