“The Moscow City Court confirmed the decision of the Tagansky District Court of Moscow imposing an administrative penalty in the form of an administrative fine on Google LLC-Google LLC in the amount of 4,611,738,636 rubles unchanged, and the applicant’s appeal was not satisfied,” says the official telegram channel of the Moscow courts of general jurisdiction.

Google received a fine in December 2023, the reason was the repeated refusal to remove information prohibited in Russia.

For the first time, the court imposed a turnover fine of 7.2 billion rubles on Google in December 2021, also due to the failure to remove information prohibited in Russia. In the summer of 2022, the company received a second turnover fine of 21.077 million rubles.

In October, the Moscow Arbitration Court declared Google’s Russian subsidiary bankrupt.
