Apple may add two new features related to generative artificial intelligence to iOS 18. The developers learned about this from internal code on Apple servers.
The features are called Safari Browsing Assistant and Encrypted Visual Search. What they are doing is unknown. It is also unclear whether these are the final names.
Provide the function of using Private Relay infrastructure to send data to an Apple server with a hidden IP address.
The use of Private Relay may indicate that these features will process content on Apple servers rather than on devices, as is typically the case.
iOS 18 will be presented on June 10 at the WWDC conference.
