The SberUnity venture platform now offers the opportunity to make syndicated deals directly from investors. This was reported by the press service of Sberbank with reference to the words of the first deputy chairman of the bank’s board of directors, Alexander Vedyakhin.

Up to 20% of all syndicated transactions in Russia are expected to take place on the platform.

Now a lead investor who is a resident of SberUnity can, based on more than 20 criteria, select a suitable startup for a syndicated deal, agree with it on investment conditions and invite potential co-investors to join the round.

To syndicate a deal, you can bring an independently found external startup to SberUnity. Other investors see applications for all current syndicated transactions and may enter into them on the terms already announced by the lead investor.

Automating syndicated transactions will allow experienced investors to quickly attract partners and diversify risks; for beginners – find offers already structured by experienced investors and participate in them; professional funds – to involve business angels in transactions with mature projects.

According to Vedyakhin, more than 4.2 thousand startups from Russia and foreign countries are represented at SberUnity. 64% of those that attract investments are in the pre-seed and seed stages, 36% are in rounds A and B. There are more than 500 investors on the platform.

Sber launched the SberUnity online platform in September 2021, designed for interaction between startups, venture investors and corporations.
