Red Wings Airlines plans to change its brand and name. This was reported by Kommersant citing sources; The company declined to comment.
Rostec-owned Red Wings airline is considering several options for a new name, but the main one is “Rassvet.” The English name was used for charter flights, but they decided to abandon it, said the interlocutor of the publication.
In 2022, Red Wings began retiring foreign-made aircraft from its fleet. Currently, the company operates three Boeing 777s, the rest of the aircraft in the company’s fleet, in particular the SSJ 100, are Russian-made.
Experts from the BrandLab agency estimated the Red Wings rebranding project at 200 million rubles, of which 125 million rubles would require changing the livery of the entire aircraft fleet.
